"I think Montpellier deserve their title, congratulations to them. They have had a fantastic campaign."

"I think we can all congratulate Montpellier. For our part, we played well tonight and we played well this season. This will serve as experience for the future. "Congratulations Montpellier, they deserve the title. We have a team comprising lots of new players this season and despite that, we have had an excellent year. I wasn't worried when we were trailing 1-0 because we knew what we had to do. Tactically, Lorient played a very good game. I felt pretty good tonight and it's very positive to end the season like that, with a win."

"Of course it's a disappointment, but you have to remember we had a great season, all the same. Montpellier are champions. Well done to them, but I'm thinking towards the future with Paris... It wasn't easy. There were a lot of changes at the club this year."

LORIENT-PSG : 1-2

Le PSG devait impérativement battre Lorient et espérer un faux-pas de Montpellier pour être sacré champion de France. Malheureusement, le miracle n'a pas eu lieu. Ce n'est que partie remise pour la saison prochaine...

Ce dimanche soir face à Lorient, une équipe qui jouait sa tête en Ligue 1, le Paris Saint-Germain était dans l'obligation de battre les Merlus pour se donner le droit de croire au titre de champion de France. Dans un match décisif pour les deux équipes, les Parisiens se sont fait peur suite à l'ouverture du score de Kevin Monnet-Paquet contre le cours du jeu (28e). Il faudra attendre la seconde période pour voir les Parisiens avoir un sursaut d'orgueil par l'intérmédiaire de Javier Pastore (61e) et Thiago Motta (75e). Le Paris Saint-Germain termine donc la saison avec 79 points au compteur, soit un rendement plutôt satisfaisant de 2,07 points par match. Le LOSC avait été sacré champion de France l'an dernier avec 76 points...

Hélàs pour les Parisiens, il y avait Montpellier cette saison qui était l'équipe à battre. Face à Auxerre, équipe déjà comdamnée à la Ligue 2 avant le coup d'envoi, John Utaka a été l'homme du match côté montpelliérain en offrant les buts de la victoire (32e et 76e). Pourtant, la bande de Jean-Guy Wallemme avait permis de faire rêver un court instant les Parisiens puisqu'Olivier Kapo ouvrait le score en début de rencontre (20e). Après une saison serrée entre les deux équipes, Montpellier devance Paris au classement avec 82 points et est sacré champion de France. Nous ne pouvons que les féliciter pour ce titre et les Rouge et Bleu auront à cœur de les battre la saison prochaine...

El PSG ganó 2-1, pero el Montpellier también se impuso 2-1 y así Pastore, autor de un gol, se quedó sin campeonato Francia. Una definición para el infarto en la Ligue 1.

"Necesitamos un milagro". Esa frase, muy repetida en el vestuario del Paris Saint Germain, fue la que precisamente no ocurrió en el desenlace de la Ligue 1. El equipo de Javier Pastore debía ganar y esperar a que el Montpellier, puntero a sólo tres unidades, perdiera. Hizo los deberes, pero...

El PSG tenía enfrente al Lorient (Lucas Mareque titular) y supo darlo vuelta. Iba perdiendo con el tanto de Monnet-Paquet, pero llegó al empate por medio de Pastore, quien la empujó después de un rebote. Ese resultado no alcanzaba, pero Thiago Motta estampó el 2-1 definitivo.

En el otro cruce, Montpellier caía con el Auxerre (último y ya descendido) y daba lugar al milagro. Kapo, a los 21' del primer tiempo, puso el 1-0. Pero el líder llegó a la igualdad por medio de Utaka. El encuentro se suspendió por un largo tiempo y en su reanudación, nuevamente el nigeriano puso el 2-1 que hizo que su equipo se consagrara campeón 82 unidades y relegara al PSG al segundo puesto con 79.

En otro de los encuentros, Lisandro López convirtió para el Lyon y Luciano Monzón para el Nice, que se impuso por 4-3. Licha y compañía jugarán la próxima Europa League.

Le PSG écrase Rennes (3-0) et reste en course pour le titre

Les Parisiens ont rempli leur contrat en s'imposant largement face à Rennes (3-0). Ils sont mathématiquement assurés de la deuxième place après la victoire de Montpellier face à Lille (1-0)

After a goal-less first period, the Brazilian burst into life, scoring three times in the space of 20 minutes to to make sure his side remain in the title hunt

The first half was a static affair, with the Parisians pushing forward sporadically. Nene played a threatening ball to Jeremy Menez, who struggled to get free of Chris Mavinga, but the defender eventually made an excellent block to stop the Frenchman's shot giving the hosts the lead.

Soon after, Ancelotti's men had appeals for a penalty waved away when the ball appeared to strike Kevin Theophile-Catherine on the arm, but replays showed that the referee had made the correct decision.

PSG continued to push for an opener, and were inches away from breaking the deadlock seconds later when Menez bent an effort just wide of the post.

However, after a frantic opening, both teams died down. Menez dragged another effort wide of goal after a cunning one-two with Nene, before the former Roma man crumbled on the edge of the box, only to be told to get up by the official.

At the other end, Rennes offered very little, except on one occasion when Mavinga wriggled clear of his marker and Youssouf Hadji, who took a poor touch when well-stationed on the penalty spot.

On the stroke of half-time, controversy struck yet again as Nene picked up a booking for diving, when replays showed that he had been tripped.

Shortly after the restart, however, the match burst into life. Javier Pastore won the ball in midfield and sprayed a ball to Menez on the left wing. The 25-year-old beat his marker and pulled the ball back to Nene who kept his cool and put his side ahead.

Going behind only managed to rouse the visitors into action. Julien Feret fed Jires Kembo, who drove an effort wide, before Jonathan Pitroipa was felled by Blaise Matuidi and Zoumana Camara, only to see his appeals for a penalty waved away.

However, Rennes soon sank. Menez tore upfield, and was felled by Onyekachi Apam on the edge of the box. Nene stepped up and curled the ball past Benoit Costil and into the net.

Seconds later, the lively Menez was tripped in the penalty area by Jean-Armel Kana-Biyik, and Nene sent Costil the wrong way to complete his hat-trick from the spot.

With cries of "Ole" ringing out around Parc des Princes, PSG tried to play keep ball, but they were unable to stop Rennes from having a few shots in anger.

Kembo sent an effort straight into Salvatore Sirigu's grateful hands, before Victor Montano stung the former Palermo 'keeper's hands with a ferocious effort from distance.

Kana-Biyik knocked a Sirigu long ball straight into Menez's path, but his blushes were spared when his France international's shot bounced off the post.

In the end, however, three goals was more than enough for the Parisians to storm to victory, and remain in the hunt for Ligue 1 glory, but Montpellier's late win over Lille means that they need just a point from the final round of fixtures to clinch the title.

El PSG de pastore estiro su ilusion hasta la ultima fecha

París Saint Germain, con el argentino Javier Pastore de titular, goleó hoy a Rennes por 3-0 y se mantuvo a tres puntos del líder Montpellier, que derrotó de local a Lille, cuando resta solamente una fecha en la liga francesa de fútbol.

 

Los tres goles del PSG, que llegó a las 76 unidades, fueron convertidos por el brasileño Nené.

El conjunto parisino todavía tiene posibilidades de consagrarse campeón: si gana su próximo partido, ante el Lorient, y Montpellier pierde ante el Auxerre (descendido), se quedará con el título por mejor diferencia de gol (hoy están iguales en +33).

Montpellier, por su parte, quedó con 79 unidades por su victoria sobre el final ante Lille (Mauro Cetto en el banco) por 1-0, con un tanto de Karim Fana en el tercer minuto de descuento.

Los resultados del resto de la jornada fueron: Ajaccio 1 - Lyon 1 (Lisandro López ingresó desde el banco), Burdeos 1 - Lorient 0, Brest 1 - Valenciennes 0, Caen 1 - Sochaux 3, Dijón 1 - Toulouse 1, Olympique Marsella 3 - Auxerre 0, Nancy 3 - Saint Etienne 2 y Niza 1 - Evian 1.

No se rinden

El PSG, con Pastore como guía, venció por 4-3 a Valenciennes y alcanzó al Montpellier -un partido menos- en la punta. El Flaco asistió en el tercero.

La derrota de la fecha pasada contra el Lille pegó. El PSG lo sintió, le dieron la cuenta y se levantó antes del nocaut. No se rinde ni abandona. Por eso, le ganó un partidazo al Valenciennes: iba perdiendo 2-0, lo dio vuelta y terminó festejando por 4-3. Javier Pastore, la guía del equipo parisino, asistió y tuvo un buen partido. El PSG alcanzó al Montpellier y da pelea a falta de dos fechas para el final.

Aboubakar, a los 8’, y Gomis, a los 11', pusieron en ventaja de entrada al Valenciennes en su casa. Resultado que le daba más de medio título al Montpellier. Pero el PSG reaccionó y lo dio vuelta antes del descanso. Nenê descontó, Maxwell empató y Pastore frotó la lámpara: gran pase gol a Matuidi y 3-2 a favor. Fue la quinta asistencia del Flaco en la temporada. Ménez estiró y Cohade dejó la diferencia de uno.

Ese último gol puede jugar un papel clave, ya que el PSG alcanzó al Montpellier y en caso de parda de puntos se define por diferencia de gol. Ambos suman 73 puntos y tienen +30. Cabe aclarar que el Montpellier tiene un partido menos y el lunes visita al Stade Rennes, equipo que pelea por un lugar en la Europa League. En la próxima fecha, el PSG recibe al Rennes y el Montpellier va contra el Lille (tercero, pelea por la Champions).

Valenciennes 3-4 Paris Saint-Germain: Ancelotti's side go top of the table after thrilling comeback

In a thrilling seven goal encounter at Stade du Hainaut, les Parisiens came out on top against a spirited Valenciennes side to go top of the table, for 24 hours at least.

Paris Saint-Germain moved to the top of the table on goals scored by squeezing past Valenciennes 4-3 in a highly entertaining Ligue 1 encounter at Stade du Hainaut on Sunday evening.

Vincent Aboubakar put the hosts ahead after eight minutes with a deflected strike, before Remi Gomis doubled the lead three minutes later after some lax defending.

A Parisien comeback was expected and it didn't disappoint either. Nene reduced the deficit after 15 minutes with his fourth goal against Valenciennes in four matches, before Maxwell and Blaise Matuidi both notched their first goals for the club just before half-time.

Jeremy Menez made it 4-2 in the second half, before a fine Renaud Cohade free-kick ensured a tense finish in a thrilling encounter.

Carlo Ancelotti opted to continue deploying Zoumana Camara in central defence alongside Alex, despite club captain Mamadou Sakho returning from a suspension. Jeremy Menez led the attacking line, leaving forwards Kevin Gameiro and Guillaume Hoarau on the bench. Meanwhile, the hosts were boosted with the return of Carlos Sanchez from a nine-game suspension.

With Montpellier dropping points in midweek, the onus was on the capital club to defeat Valenciennes and return provisionally to the top of the table. Though within eight minutes, it would be Daniel Sanchez's men to take a shock lead.

After an edgy beginning to proceedings at Stade du Hainaut, a lofted ball from Rudy Mater found Aboubakar who displayed an incredible piece of control to turn the ball away from his marker and fire an effort towards Salvatore Sirigu, via a heavy deflection off an unsuspecting Alex for 1-0.

If the goal came as anything as a shock to the home faithful, the second would send them into delirium. The visitors' failed to negotiate a sustained Valenciennes attack. Aboubakar again was the architect, directing a powerful strike towards Sirigu after a wonderful series of dribbles. With the Italian parrying the loose ball back into the danger zone Gomis was left to tap into an empty net for 2-0 after 11 minutes.

PSG's shell-shocked unit issued a response, and adjusting their tempo accordingly. It worked, as les Parisiens alved the deficit four minutes later after sustained pressure. A poor clearance from Mater saw Menez retain possession of the ball and thread a ball towards Nene. The Brazilian in turn, fired a low shot past Penneteau for his 18th league strike of the season.

Valenciennes kept up the charge despite the setback, and were unlucky not to have gone further ahead, after Gael Danic's through ball was agonisingly cut out at the last minute by Alex. At the other end, Javier Pastore was denied a strong penalty call by referee Fredy Fautrel after a rash challenge from Nicolas Isimat-Mirin.

Ancelotti's side grew in stature as the first half progressed, with Daniel Sanchez's men unable to keep up with the visitors' fine counter-attacking movement. Four minutes before half-time, the equaliser arrived in typical PSG fashion.

Affter a distinctly high-octane surge forward from Jallet, it was Nene who clipped a neat ball towards Maxwell, arriving on the overlap. The former Barcelona defender, at an acute angle, slamming a low shot under Penneteau for his first goal in French football.

It got even better for les Parisiens, as on the stroke of half-time, they superbly completed the comeback. A fine ball over the Valenciennes from Pastore deep in midfield, picked out Matuidi who kept his calm to slide the ball past the goalkeeper for 3-2 in what became an important 45 minutes in the title race.

The second period began in equally end-to-end fashion as the first. Another through-ball carved open the Valenciennes back-line before Menez was forced wide with a fine save from Penneteau. At the other end, almost immediately, Foued Kadir was denied by Sirigu as both sides stepped up respective efforts.

Nevertheless, it was PSG who struck a decisive blow just before the hour. A fine move from Nene located Menez who swiftly directed the ball into the net and put clear daylight between the two sides as the game ultimately swung in the balance of the title challengers.

For all of Valenciennes' enterprising efforts, they wilted away alarmingly but still managed to grab a late goal. A superb free-kick from Cohade past the clutches of Sirigu and off the post ensured a tense finish, which PSG saw out.

Paris Saint-Germain go top of Ligue 1 on goals scored, with Montpellier encountering Stade Rennes in their week 36 clash on Monday. Carlo Ancelotti's side host les Rouge et Noir in their final home game, as Valenciennes play Brest in week 37.

Javier Pastore, un flaco en París

Está cerca de cerrar su primera temporada en Francia, peleando el campeonato con el PSG. Charló con Día a Día acerca de su vida en la ciudad de las luces.

Suena el teléfono y atiende una voz de mujer, en francés, pero con un acento más cordobés que La Cañada. Es Patricia, la mamá de Javier Pastore. La misma que hace unos años lo llevaba todos los días a entrenar en el predio de Talleres, hoy lo visita en París.

“Ella es la más pegada a mí y cada vez que tiene la posibilidad de venir está todo el día conmigo. Así que disfrutamos muchísimo”, cuenta orgulloso el Flaco que llegó en agosto del año pasado al París Saint Germain.

Se sabe que Javier es muy apegado a Patricia. Tanto, que hace unas semanas se dio el gusto de repetir un festejo que ya había realizado cuando estaba en Huracán. Se acercó hasta donde estaba ella y le dio un beso. “Ella ya había visto un partido desde los palcos y mucho no le había gustado. Así que la hice sentar bien cerca, prácticamente adentro de la cancha y tuve la suerte de hacer un gol y pude ir a saludarla a ella y a mi papá que estaba al costado”, dice.

• ¿Cómo vivís allá? 

–Estoy en un departamento en el centro de París, a unos 100 metros del Arco de Triunfo. La vida acá es hermosa, la ciudad es increíble. La verdad es que no me puedo quejar de nada. Vivo con mi novia y siempre viene mi familia, los días que pueden. Van viendo ellos con el trabajo, mis hermanos con los hijos, pero siempre hay alguien. Ahora tengo a mi mamá, mi papá, un amigo y dos tíos que vinieron por un mes.

• ¿Y los sobrinos? 

–Los sobrinos estuvieron acá hace unos meses. Terrible mi relación con ellos, vivimos un año juntos en Palermo y han quedado pegados a mí y yo a ellos así que es un poco difícil tenerlos lejos.

• ¿Cómo es el público francés? 

–Acá son muy pasionales también pero no todos, sólo los que siguen el fútbol. En Francia el primer deporte es el rugby. La gente hincha mucho más por el rugby que por el fútbol. No es como en Italia o en Argentina, que te ven y te saltan encima. Acá son mucho más respetuosos, con verte nada más para ellos ya está.

• ¿Fuiste a ver algún partido de rugby? 

–No, pero tampoco es que me gusta mucho. Aunque en París hay muchos argentinos jugando. Cuando tenga la posibilidad voy a ir porque el Estadio de Francia es hermoso, tiene capacidad para más de 80 mil personas y siempre se llena.

El presente futbolístico. En lo deportivo, Pastore atraviesa un buen momento como titular en el PSG, equipo que está segundo en la Liga Francesa, peleando el título en las últimas fechas. “Es la primera vez después de Huracán que tengo la posibilidad de pelear el campeonato todo el año”, confirma ilusionado.

• ¿Cómo es el DT Carlo Ancelotti? 

–Es un entrenador distinto a los que había tenido. Tiene mucha más chapa y un nombre muy importante en Europa, que realmente lo hace pesar. Y tenerlo como entrenador es algo muy lindo porque es una persona maravillosa y como técnico es muy bueno. Trato de aprovecharlo al máximo y sacarle las cosas más positivas para seguir creciendo y mejorando.

• ¿Te habla mucho? 

–Sí, Tenemos una relación muy buena. Desde que llegó fui uno de los que más habla. El ya me había visto cuando yo jugaba en Huracán y me quería llevar al Milan. Y bueno, es un afecto especial que tiene sobre mí y que yo ahora tomé sobre él. Es una persona que me da muchísima confianza y me habla mucho.

• ¿Qué balance hacés de tu primer año en Francia?

 –Por suerte en el año rendí muy bien y tuve muy buenas actuaciones además de marcar muchos goles. Así que yo creo que eso es algo muy importante y positivo para destacar. Y, bueno, estar a cuatro partidos peleando el campeonato y una plaza para jugar la Champions es algo increíble y muy positivo de este año.

• Talleres y los amigos del fútbol 

El primer amor de Javier Pastore se llama Talleres. Allí arrancó de chico en las inferiores y, aunque duró poco en Primera, siempre está pendiente. “Lo sigo mucho porque tengo a muchos amigos que jugaban conmigo que están jugando”, confiesa y expresa su deseo: “Espero que terminemos bien ahora estos dos partidos que quedan”.

• ¿Hay amigos en Talleres? 

–Muchos. El Agus Díaz, Cosaro, Requena, Nery Leyes. Después, compañeros de mi hermanito a los que siempre iba a ver: el Negrito Álvarez y Carabajal. Esperemos que salgan bien.

• ¿Estás en contacto con ellos además de seguir las noticias? 

–Con algunos sí. Nos juntamos a comer con la mayoría cuando fui en las últimas vacaciones. También vi a varios en el partido a beneficio en la Boutique. 

• ¿Qué otras amistades grosas te dio el fútbol? 

–De Huracán, me quedó (Matías) Defederico porque los dos años que yo estuve ahí, era estar todos los días con él. En la Selección me hice muy amigo de (Gonzalo) Higuaín. También con (Ever) Banega hemos estado mucho juntos. Después tengo a (Nicolás) Bertolo y al uruguayo Abel Hernández, que quedaron en Italia y nos juntamos a veces.

• ¿Y en París? 

–(Salvatore) Sirigu que ya estaba en el Palermo y comemos siempre afuera. Y Diego Lugano (el defensor uruguayo), que es una persona bárbara que conocí hace seis meses.

• Y lo primero es la familia 

Papá Juan Carlos, mamá Patricia y los hermanos Lorena, Ariel y Juan Manuel, compusieron siempre el círculo más íntimo de Javier Pastore.

A ellos se les sumaron luego los sobrinos Bruno, Franco y Tiago, que son su debilidad.

Hace dos años se agregó Chiara, la novia del Flaco que desde Palermo lo sigue a todos lados y ahora vive con él en París.

Pero no son los únicos. También hay un montón de tíos, de primos y de amigos que son inseparables y siempre están acompañándolo.

Así son los Pastore. Se mueven en clan. Nunca habrá uno solo. Donde va uno, van todos. Con el triunfo de uno, triunfan todos.

Les cierra la boca

Con un gol de Javier Pastore, quien venía siendo cuestionado por su rendimiento, el PSG venció al Saint-Ettiene por 2 a 0 y se puso a tres del lider Montpellier.

Hace una semana el Paris Saint Germain había perdido mucho terreno en la pelea por la liga francesa y algunos hinchas le atribuían la culpa, entre otras razones, al bajo rendimiento de Javier Pastore. Pero hoy otra es la historia, porque luego del empate del lider Motpellier frente al Evian, el PSG aprovechó las ventajas y este miércoles se puso a tres puntos del puntero, tras vencer por 2 a 0 al Saint-Ettiene en la 34ta. fecha de la liga francesa.

Con un gol de Javier Pastore, que jugó los 90 minutos, y otro de Nenê, los parisinos se acercaron a la punta nuevamente alcanzando los 70 puntos. El líder Montpellier con 73, visitará este sábado al Rennes, mientras que el PSG hará lo propio frente al Valenciennes. En caso de igualdad, se define por diferencia de goy, y hoy el líder tiene uno más que el PSG.

El gol del Flaco no alcanzo

El campeón vigente Lille derrotó el 2-1 al París Saint-Germain y aún sigue con esperanzas de revalidar su título en la liga francesa de fútbol.

El argentino Javier Pastore abrió la cuenta para el PSG a los 48 minutos, pero Eden Hazard empató al convertir un penal a los 71 y luego asistió a Nolan Roux con el tanto de la victoria a los 79.

Lille mantiene vivas sus escasas esperanzas del título al tiempo que redujo la posibilidad de que PSG alcance a Montpellier.

El PSG jugó los últimos 20 minutos con 10 hombres por la expulsión de Mamadou Sakho tras propiciar el penal.

Con cuatro fechas pendientes, Montpellier va arriba del PSG con una ventaja cinco puntos, además de que posee mejor diferencia de goles. Lille tiene siete unidades menos que Montpellier, pero ambos deben enfrentarse todavía.
